“If we do not care today, we won’t be cared tomorrow.”
Dear Fellow Citizens, Life isn’t too long to wait for magic to happen. We always keep thinking of what we want for ourselves. Have you ever paused a while on your way and thought of what the child, begging at a traffic junction, is going through? Have you ever thought of why your neighbour’s child has failed the school exam? Have you ever thought of why the old man, who is deserted by his own children, isn’t smiling? Have you ever thought of the consequences of the garbage around your house and the impact of the drastic change of the environment the earth is going to face soon? Hardly ever; isn’t it? Yes, quite natural and not surprising at all. May be; that’s because either you do not care about such happenings around yourself or your struggle for your own life leaves you no chance to notice such things. Similar to many of you, I had a struggling life. I have lived a substantial time of my life as hard as not being able to arrange three square meals a day. But, that phase of my life helped me understand life and society at the grassroots level. Life has taught me that opportunities, struggles, and success all make sense only when we give back to our society. Today, after traveling across different parts of the world, I have realized one universal truth: A Nation makes progress when its people care for each other. I have always believed that this planet is our shared home and that, at any given time, its resources, its moments, and its opportunities belong to everyone equally. Instead of accumulating resources and wealth for future and holding back recourses, there is a greater need to contribute today, allocate, reallocate, and share all that we have among those who truly need it. In doing so, we make every individual feel included and valued, calling everyone to understand and carry the spirit that “Today is ours; let us live and shine together.” I’m of the view that young individuals must be trained and tuned to the fact that in a time when society faces rapid change, environmental pressures, and shifting economic realities, there is a pressing need for collaborative efforts for building networks and establishing institutions that work beyond narrow interests — institutions that unite people in common purpose and strive for the collective upliftment of all. With such a dream, our Trust (INSPIRE INDIA PRAYAS) was born; — to bring together people who believe that every act of kindness matters, every effort counts, and every dream for a better society is worth pursuing. What is needed is to inspire INDIA to make efforts to bring people together and care for each other. But I cannot do this alone. None of us can. The challenges of education, health, poverty, and inequality cannot be solved by governments and institutions alone. They need the hearts, hands, and hopes of people like you and me. I invite you to walk this journey with us. • Share your time, your skills, or your resources. • Encourage a child to dream. • Stand beside someone in need. • Help us build communities that are compassionate and strong. Remember, “If we do not care today, we won’t be cared tomorrow.” Let us care now — for our children, our society, and our future. Together, let us inspire. Together, let us strive. Together, let us create an India we can all be proud of.
